Payments

Some events cost money: a shared cabin, a ticketed dinner, a gift pool. Teufli doesn't process card payments or move money itself today. Instead, hosts tell guests where to send payment directly.

How it actually works

  1. The host adds a payment handle to the event: Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, or Zelle.
  2. Guests see the amount owed and the handle to send it to, right on the event page.
  3. A guest sends the payment through that service themselves, then marks it as sent in Teufli.
  4. The host confirms the payment was actually received, which updates the guest's status.

What Teufli does and doesn't do

Teufli tracks who owes what and who's paid. It's the source of truth for payment status across the guest list, but it does not hold funds, process cards, or take a percentage today. The actual transfer of money happens directly between host and guest through whichever service they use.
