Privacy Policy

Teufli ("we," "us," "our") provides a platform for hosting gatherings and events — creating events, inviting guests, collecting RSVPs, and (for paid events) coordinating payment between hosts and guests directly. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account information: name and email address (used for magic-link sign-in — we do not store passwords)
• Event information: event details, guest lists, RSVPs, messages, photos, and polls you create or participate in
• Phone number, only if you choose to provide one for text-message reminders, along with your explicit consent to receive them
• Payment-related information you or a host enters manually (e.g. a payment handle or a note that a payment was sent) — Teufli does not process card payments and does not store card numbers

We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as IP address and general usage logs, to secure the service and diagnose problems.

How we use information

• To operate the service: creating events, sending invites, processing RSVPs, and displaying content to the right people
• To send transactional communications: sign-in links, invitations, RSVP confirmations, and event reminders
• To send text-message reminders, only to guests who have explicitly opted in (see "SMS / Text Messaging" below)
• To maintain the security and integrity of the platform

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your phone number or SMS opt-in status for marketing purposes.

SMS / text messaging

If you provide a phone number and check the consent checkbox on an event's RSVP page, we will send you text-message reminders about that event via our messaging provider (Twilio). Message frequency depends on the reminders a host schedules. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is never required to use Teufli or to RSVP to an event.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; this immediately stops all future text messages from Teufli to that phone number, across every event. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at support@teufli.com. We do not share phone numbers collected for SMS with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Sharing with service providers

We share the minimum information necessary with the vendors that help us run Teufli:

• Email delivery (Resend), to send account and event emails
• SMS delivery (Twilio), only for guests who opt in to text reminders
• File storage, for photos and other content you upload

These providers are contractually restricted to using your information only to provide services to Teufli.

Data retention

We retain account and event information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting support@teufli.com.

Your choices

• Update or delete your account information from your account settings
• Opt out of SMS reminders at any time by replying STOP, or by removing your phone number from an RSVP
• Control which email/push notification categories you receive from your account settings

Children's privacy

Teufli is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
